Rep Akin Alabi Flags Off Hope Salawu Road Project, Distributes Transformers Amid Community Joy, Receives Calls for Third-Term Bid

Hon. Akin Alabi, the House of Representatives member for Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Works, has officially launched the reconstruction of the Hope Salawu Road. This significant project is set to improve connectivity and ease transportation challenges for the local populace.

In a statement by his media aide, Hameed Mustapha Ramadan, Hon. Alabi, now serving his second term, expressed his commitment to infrastructure development during the inauguration. “Hope Salawu is my home“ Alabi stated
“The Hope Salawu Road project is more than just infrastructure; it’s about transforming lives. This road will facilitate smoother transportation and stimulate economic growth within our communities,” Alabi stated.

The launch event was a joyous occasion, drawing widespread community support. Hon. Alabi further addressed the pressing issue of power supply by distributing new transformers to critical areas. Both the Ajagba community in Wakajaye, Egbeda LGA, and the Kure community in Ona Ara LGA received 2024 model transformers, aiming to enhance electricity supply, boost local businesses, and improve residents’ daily lives.

Speaking on these developments, Adebowale Amoo JP, Director-General of the Akin Alabi Campaign Organization, highlighted their significance. “Hon. Alabi’s commitment to impactful projects is unwavering. The Hope Salawu Road and transformer distribution underscore his dedication to improving the quality of life in Egbeda and Ona Ara,” Amoo remarked.

The distribution event at the Kure community was marked by an outpouring of gratitude. Chief Mutiu Idowu Olaonipekun Ogunlana, Baale of Kure, lauded Hon. Alabi’s consistent efforts. “Hon. Adding to the accolades, Hon. Ogundele Biliaminu Gbenga, the leader of the APC in Egbeda, emphasized the significance of Hon. Alabi’s leadership. “Egbeda has never held any strategic position in the country. Ona Ara has had a senator, and Oyo has had senators in both the past and present. We are proud to have Akin Alabi as the representative of the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency,” said Hon. Ogundele.
