Rep Member Concludes 2nd Cohort of Video Editing Training • Participants Get Certificates, Cash Support

The Member representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akin Alabi, has successfully concluded the second cohort of his IT and Mobile Video Editing Training, a capacity-building initiative designed to equip young constituents with practical digital and creative skills.

The training, from October 16 to 18, 2025, provided hands-on sessions in mobile video editing, content creation, and digital storytelling. At the closing ceremony, participants were awarded certificates of completion and received a sum of fifty thousand naira (₦50,000) each as start-up support to enable them to begin their creative journeys.

Hon. Akin Alabi reaffirmed his strong commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and sustainable job creation through technology-based initiatives. He emphasised that such programmes are designed to promote self-reliance and reduce unemployment in the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.

The participants expressed appreciation to Hon. Alabi for his consistent investment in human capital development and for giving young people the opportunity to turn their creativity into productive ventures.
