REPLENISH THE EARTH.
Beautiful Thursday to you dear reader!
I couldn’t get across to you last week but I hope you still remember what we looked into 2 weeks ago; ‘multiply’.
REPLENISH THE EARTH is the third dimension of the 5 fold mandate of the divine blessings on mankind. You may think that fruitfulness, multiply and replenishment is supposed to mean the same thing but it is not so. Replenishment happens whenever a reduction occurs. So when a mandate states, ‘replenish the earth’, it means that for every thing that gets used up on earth, we must restock. How then do we ‘restock’ the earth? There are various ways to restock the earth but the first thing will be to recognize those things that have been used up that need to be filled up, replaced or restocked.
Let’s begin with agriculture. Deforestation has caused great havoc to our land topography and the ozone layer. How then can we restock? We can restock by planting new trees and preserving the existing few. There can also be ground water, soil or sand replenishment projects where flood has caused erosion and soil destruction. No animal is expected to go into extinction, as we transform some into meat or money, we are expected to rear new breeds so as to restock the community of the livestock.
Recycling is another way to replenish the earth by enabling a green environment which in turn can bring in revenues. There can be replenishment in the entertainment world, fashion industry, tourism and hospitality industry, finance sector, oil and gas, power and energy, aviation, ICT, infrastructure, transportation, real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, education, construction and engineering.
We met the world stocked up with the raw materials needed to make it comfortable for us to live in and we are meant to restock every finished product we made out of those raw materials; and in a situation where those raw materials become scarce, we can make provision to improvise new raw materials from the semi-finished or finished products we have made from those initial raw materials. All these will be needed for replenishment, so as to make the world a better place.
We have been given that knowledge, understanding and network needed to aid replenishment in the earth. Why then are we depleting and starving in the midst of surplus? Till I write to you again, please begin to map out ways to replenish the earth.
