Rest Assured of Quality Representation, Come Out to Elect Me — Lam-Adesina to Electorate.
Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Saturday’s supplementary election in Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has urged the people not to be intimidated by any threat to perform their civic duty.
The youthful politician made the call Thursday morning, asking eligible voters in the affected units of Atipe, Ajegede, Adesola/Oniyere, Oluyoro and Felele/Olorunsogo to come out en masse to vote for him.
It would be recalled, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had fixed Saturday April 15, 2023 as the date for the conduct of fresh election in both Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East local government councils which make up the federal constituency following reported infractions which necessitated the inability of the commission to declare a winner in the February 25th elections.
According to Lam-Adesina, who represented the constituency between 2015 and 2019, “electorate should not nurse fear of violence or intimidation. I urge you to come out and elect me as your representative in the green chamber of the National Assembly.
“I have done it before and you all can attest to what I did. Without sounding immodest, I make bold to say I am the best to entrust the votes of the people of our federal constituency with. I have the requisite experience and I won’t disappoint you.
“You know what I did when I was there. Like I did then, I won’t be far from you. If as a newcomer between 2015 and 2019, I was able to facilitate those good things, I will do more as a ranking representative.
“My constituency offices in the two local government areas would be, more than before, play host to your concerns.
“I know the problems of our constituency. I know how to get them solved.
“So we shouldn’t nurse any fear. Come out and vote for me. I will do better. And you will not regret it,” the former youths and sports commisioner explained.
