As Mrs. Olufunmilayo Oye retires as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)-Account of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, it is fitting to pay tribute to her exceptional leadership and dedication to public service. Throughout her illustrious career, Mrs. Oye has demonstrated transformative leadership, elevating the standard of service and enhancing the welfare of her colleagues and subordinates.
Indeed, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Oye is a shining example of excellence. Her leadership style is characterised by human capital development, charisma, compassion, empowerment, and unwavering dedication. Her commitment to professional development has inspired countless individuals, and her advocacy for excellence has raised the bar for public service.
As a motherly figure and mentor personally, I have had the privilege of working under Mrs. Oye’s guidance, and I can attest to her exceptional mentorship. She took me under her wing, training me to international standards and treating me like a son rather than a subordinate. Her selflessness and devotion to her colleagues are traits that have earned her the reverence and admiration of all who know her.
Of course, as Mrs. Oye begins her well-deserved retirement, we celebrate her remarkable achievements and honour her legacy. Her impact on The Polytechnic, Ibadan, and the broader community will be felt for years to come. We are grateful for her service, leadership, and inspiration.
