S’ Court Verdict: BUNVIC Congratulates Oyo APC, ALGON • He Cautions Makinde Against Violation of “RULE of LAW”.
The Leader of Oyo-state caucus in the House of Representatives and Chairman House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Dokun Odebunmi (Bunvic) has congratulated the leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON) in the state over the association’s victory at the Supreme Court early yesterday.
The Member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Odebunmi described the judgement as victory for democracy and all its adherents. He noted that, “it is unhealthy that a constituted authority attempted to undermine the stand of the nation’s grand law, just for mere partisanship. He chided Makinde for his affront on the will of the people.
Bunvic lauded the resilience of the state chapter of ALGON under the watch of Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye for coming out victoriously after many difficult stages of the legal tussles. He observed that the Judgement will further strengthen the administration of local government in Nigeria and enrich the related jurisprudence.
Odebunmi advised everyone in the position of authority to always act within the dictate of law of the land rather than engaging in action that could cause anarchy in the land, which could have been the case if not for the political clear-headedness and democratic maturity of APC and ALGON families in the state.
