S’ Court Verdict : It’s A Victory for Democracy And A Blow for Dictatorship – Faozey Congratulates Oyo ALGON.
Oyo Central Senatorial aspirant, during 2019 General Election, Hon. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen has congratulated the state chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) over their victory at Supreme Court on Friday.
The Communication Guru, Faozey in his congratulatory message which was made available to the newsmen by his Media Aide, Inaolaji Akinloye, commended the leadership of ALGON for towing the path of law and for eschewing violence in the face of provocation during the period.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the leadership of Oyo state ALGON for this well deserved victory just pronounced by the Supreme Court.
“The judgement by the supreme court has vindicated you all as the duly elected representatives of the people and it’s a victory for democracy and a big blow for antidemocracy.”
Faozey added that the Oyo State Government should hasten up in clearing all outstanding salaries and allowances of the duly elected Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councilors, also, the appointees on or before August as directed by the Supreme Court.
Hon. Faozey appreciated the eminent jurists of the supreme Court for restoring the sanctity ad integrity of the judiciary as the last hope of the common men. He lauded the jurists for correcting the abnormality of democracy in the state.
