S’ Court Verdict: OYHA Hopeful, Adebayo Adams Congratulates Oyo ALGON.
Oyo-State House of Assembly Hopeful, from Ibadan Northwest State Constituency, Hon. Adebayo Adams has congratulated the leaderships of the Association of Local Governments of Nigerian and All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state over the supreme court judgement delivered on Friday, in favour of the association.
“This is a victory for democracy and development of our nascent democracy”, he maintained.
Former Acting Chairman of Councillors’ Forum in the state, Adams lamented that, “It’s quite unfortunate GSM acted wrongly, barely, 40min after taking oath office when yet to be sworn in Chief of Staff made the pronouncement.
“The victory is dedicated to Almighty God and our dear Leader HE, Abiola Ajimobi.
“There has been light at the end of the tunnel. Without compromise, Supreme Court gave a good precedence and the judgement is for the development of grassroot”, he stated.
The popular Youth Advocate in the state, Adams said that, “The dissolution by the use of ‘Executive Rascality’ brought huge set back to the grassroot development, there is no doubt about that.
“It’s high time the executives work hand in hand to improve life and well being of people at grassroot by giving local government free access to operate independently.
“Third tier of governance should be respected and this is the right channel that Nigeria can be great if we can all agree that politics is local.
“To the glory of God, Congratulations, once again to HE, Abiola Ajimobi for conducting free and fair election that produced finest politicians of this great generation. History will be kind to the leadership of ALGON under the watch of Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye for his unrelenting efforts. It’s a tough task but at the end truth prevailed.
“I salute ALGON for the tenacity displayed and for being rugged in the eyes of oppressors. You have all made us proud.
“On this note, I want to appeal to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Presidency (Executive arm of government to give assent to the autonomy for Local Government. Our Legislators should make sure that Local government autonomy works.
“Local government is third tier of governance as it was established in 1957 but it is being raped by the Executive rascality under different tyrants. Please, let local government be government on her own, to carter for the well being and needs of her people at the grassroot.
“It’s now the time for us to forget about the bruise of yesterday and look at the scars of 2019. Let’s come together as one to restore progressives back into the helm of affairs in Oyo state”, Adams encouraged.
“Let’s get it done together. We are stronger simply because troubles don’t last all nights but joy comes in the morning. Congratulations to Oyo ALGON. Viva ALGON. Victory APC. Victoria Ascerta. Long life Nigeria”, he concluded.
