SACOBA ’82 Inaugurates Nat’l Anniversary Planning C’ttee, Fixes Nov 19 to Celebrate 40 Years After Graduation from Alma Mater
The 1979/82 Set of St. Andrew’s College Old Boys’ Association, popularly called SACOBA ’82, has fixed Saturday, November 19, 2022 to celebrate 40 years after graduating from the famous St. Andrew’s College, Oyo.
The SACOBA 82 President, Honourable Bisi Oladeji, made this known yesterday, January 20, while inaugurating the 40th Year Anniversary Planning Committee at the SACOBA National Secretariat, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.
Oladeji observed that this year, 2022, made it exactly 40 years that their set graduated from the College as Grade Two Teachers. “It is therefore necessary to come together to celebrate God’s faithfulness and praise Him for His Goodness.
Hon. Oladeji stated further that the Anniversary will also be used to remember their then principal, Venerable G.O. Adesina and some of their tutors in the College as well as families of their classmates who had gone to the Great Beyond.
According to Oladeji, other highlights of the 40th Year Anniversary Programme would include Church and Mosque Services, Anniversary Lecture and cultural entertainment.
Responding on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Pastor Segun Elegbede, thanked the Association for the opportunity given to him and the members to serve on the Committee. He pledged that his Committee would leave no stone unturned in ensuring a successful and hitch-free Anniversary.
The Secretary of SACOBA ’82, Deacon Femi Popoola, while congratulating members, assured the Committee of the maximum cooperation from the SACOBA ’82 Secretariat.
The Association Treasurer, Andrian Olalere Aliyu urged the Committee to ensure quick payment of Anniversary dues.
