S’Court Verdict: I Salute Your Courage And Doggedness – Open Salawu Congratulates Oyo ALGON.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) from Ogbomosho land, Engr Muftau Open Salawu. has congratulated the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON), Oyo state chapter over the supreme court judgement delivered on Friday in favour of the association.
“It’s a mixed reaction. I salute the courage and doggedness of ALGON, Oyo state for this good fight. The judgement vindicated late Senator Abiola Ajimobi for conducting a credible election”, he maintained.
Former Aide to late Governor Ajimobi stated that, “Meanwhile, the judgement came too late and justice delayed is justice denied.
“My major concern is that Nigerians need to work on our justice delivering system, in order, to allow more efficient outcome”, he reiterated.
“We need to discourage situations where people will deliberately wrong you and ask you to go to court knowing fully well that justice will be delayed”, Salawu lamented.
“I hope Oyo state Government will pay all the salaries and allowances due to our elected chairmen and councillors on time, to relieve them of their losses”, he chided.
“It is a victory for APC. It is a victory for Oyo state. It is a victory for constitution. It is a victory for democracy. Congratulations to us all”, Salawu concluded.
