SEASON OF SURPLUS.

Excess or more than sufficient is anything termed surplus. You may wonder what the surplus item is and why one needs to bother oneself about it.

It is no longer news that we are in an information age. It is still the season of information, surplus information and access to it is so flexible that no one can feign ignorance anymore. Before now, I would have stated that decision making is difficult because one may not be sure of its outcome but recently I realized that it is not about the decision itself but rather the availability and utilization of the needed information to make the decision possible.

The year is still fresh and almost everyone must have penned a list of goals for the year. To achieve most of them and end this year fulfilled, it is necessary to be positioned where information is readily available. It is also important to associate with people who will not hoard information. In the same vein, maximally utilize the world in your hands – your mobile phone. Make your mind curious and be positively inquisitive enough to know something about everything.

Browse every topic that comes to your mind or that you come across in your every day journey through life. Have a pen and notepad with you everywhere you go. To scribble is better than to cram because a faint pen is better than a sharp brain. It will be of one’s best interest to take a leap forward from just acquiring information to utilizing it; use them to get better and achieve what you need to achieve. Read far and wide, never get tired.

Distraction and digression are two negative things that can hinder one from making the best of the surplus provision of information. Not every available information are meant for you; surf and sieve whatever content you come across on the net. Advancement of technology has made both positive and negative implications possible. It will be a disaster if one gets carried away and become a victim of the season.
