Security Alert: PDP Is Violently Planning to Rig Ibarapa East LG Election – Masolanu Adeolu Campaign Team, MACT Alleges.

Masolanu Adeolu Campaign Team (MACT), a political front rooting for the emergence of Hon. Deolu Masolanu as the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo-state under the platform of the Labour Party(LP) in the forthcoming local council election, in the state, has alleged that the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) is planning to violently rig the forthcoming local council poll in the Local Government Area of the state.

This allegation is made in a statement issued by the MACT’s Campaign Director, Comrade Rotimi Ogunlana and which was made available to newsmen Ibarapa.

The full statement reads;

“SECURITY ALERT: ALLEGED PLANS BY PDP TO USE THUGS TO RIG IBARAPA EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS.

It has come to the notice of our campaign organization that there are plans currently being perfected by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP, its candidate, and stakeholders in Ibarapa East Local Government to use thugs and elements of destruction to disrupt and rig the forthcoming local government elections in the major towns and villages of Ibarapa East.

These allegations have been going around the town and villages in our local government, thereby, creating a tense environment and scaring eligible voters from coming out on the day of elections to vote. This situation is against the customs of our local government and also totally dangerous to the peaceful atmosphere we have always enjoyed in the local government.

This might, however, not be far from the truth considering the show of hooliganism, thuggery, and threats displayed during the last rally held by the party in the local government. We, hereby, call on the Commissioner of Police, good men and women of the Nigerian Police, Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, Governor Seyi Makinde, Department of the State Security Service, gentlemen and ladies of the press, and every other security outfits and concerned stakeholders in Oyo state to please pay attention to the local government elections in Ibarapa East.

We also urge Gov. Seyi Makinde to please call the PDP in the local government to order and ensure they do not disrupt his good legacies he is laying in trying to conduct a free, fair, and peaceful election into local governments in Oyo state.

Labour Party stands for peace and our candidate also preaches peace in all of its campaigns and doings. The welfare of the people of Ibarapa East is our major concern and we will not allow their peace to be tainted by the devilish acts and show of shame conducted by the PDP in their last rally and several periods after the rally.
