Segun Mayegun’s Mother interment – We Are Most Grateful for Your Timely And Wonderful Solidarity – AWA Bamiji.

AWA Bamiji, the spokesman for the three – man emergency committee, comprises of Comrade AWA Bamiji, Mr Niyi Idowu and Alhaji Kola Odepeju), for the last Friday Mother’s interment of the former President of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Comrade Segun has, on behalf of Mayegun, thanked people who graced the burial programme of the late Matriarch in Kogi State.

This is contained in a press release issued by AWA Bamiji, on behalf of other emergency committee members, and which was made available to the newsmen in Ibadan.

The full release reads;

“Segun Mayegun’s Mother Interment: We are most greatful for your timely and wonderful solidarty.

This is to express our profound appreciation for the way you people rallied round our one and only Oracle (Orisa) of Nigerian Democratic Struggles and former NANS President, Comrade Olusegun Mayegun, before, during and immediate after his caring mother, Deborah Mayegun, interment, which took place in Kogi State last week Friday.

We are using this medium to inform you that requests for his account number for individual and group’s donations are still coming but we need to ask the sympathisers to tarry a bit for us in order to come up with our planned arrangement for the burial ceremony as the last Friday’s event was just the Interment which happened within a week of passage of his mother, just to save cost of keeping her in the mortuary for long while the party takes place next year’s June at a venue to be announced later, by God’s grace.

We knock on your individual doors at our trying period and you all opened it with love, we are most humble.

When your time of celebration comes, divine solidarity will come your way from every angle.

Comrade AWA Bamiji,
For the 3 – man (I, Mr Niyi Idowu and Alhaji Kola Odepeju) emergency Committee for the last Friday Interment.”
