Senator Buhari Empowers Another 250 Constituents with 100,000 Naira Each

Another 250 constituents of Oyo North Senatorial District today went home with a sum of one hundred thousand naira each after a three-day skills acquisition training and empowerment facilitated by Senator Buhari Abdulfatai.
The third batch of the training that started in this month of September 2024 was held at IPMAN Hall, Isale Taba, Saki today.
Delivering an address on behalf of Senator Buhari at the training, Hon. Abiodun Adeyemo (Obadoba) expressed the unrelenting efforts of the Legislator towards making life better for his constituents in this economic challenging period.
While acknowledging that things are tough not only in Nigeria but throughout the world these days, Senator Buhari said he embarked on empowerment of the training to cushion the effect of high cost living in the present day Nigeria.
According to the lawmaker, as token as a hundred thousand naira is, it can still multiply and turn the beneficiaries into independent beings economically if channelled to appropriate opportunities they were exposed to during the training. He enjoined other constituents who have not benefitted from the gesture to be patient, as another set will be shortlisted very soon.
It shall be recalled that just two weeks ago, a set of 250 beneficiaries selected across 13 local government areas of Oyo North benefitted from a similar empowerment training facilitated by Senator Buhari at Igboho in Oorelope local government. It is also noteworthy that just last week at Ogbomoso, a total of 240 farmers were given five bags of NPK fertiliser each during an empowerment programme organised for farmers in Oyo North Senatorial District.
