Senator Buhari: Good Politics, Good Performances, Good Character !! By Abdullah Mayowa Ahmed.
Each time we talk about Sen Buhari being an omoluabi and a performer, some people who either lack information or are mischievous tend to think that we are hyping the performances of this most productive senator. No sooner they come across sufficient information about him or had an interaction with him than they succumbed to superior submissions about him.
In all, if you are still one of the doubting Thomases, you may wish to embark on a fact finding tours of Oyo North and interview the young, the old, the men and women. Just try. A trial will convince you.
Do you know that Sen Buhari has done his followers and supporters proud? He has attracted friends and sympathisers from all political parties and those who are apolitical.
He has given a good image to APC with his outstanding performances which superceded that of his predecessors combined. This has remained the unique selling point of this Ogbomoso born politician.
I can’t imagine how foolish one would have looked campaigning for BAF again without these superlative performances that are visible to the deaf and audible to the blind.
Sen Buhari was properly brought up and he also gives a good account of himself as if he had already known that all these would count in his favour.
It is interesting to note that not a single individual would be so audacious to publicly challenge his records of achievements or impeach his integrity except those who have personal scores to settle with him. They found it hard to fault his accomplishments.
Take or leave, its on record that Sen Buhari has come to redefine legislative representation in Oyo North. He has demonstrated that one could use the office of senator to do majority of things that those in the executives arm of government can do.
The way he carries himself and network with the office of a legislator has opened the eyes of many people to that office which hitherto was considered a mere law making business.
In 2023, Oyo North should not miss the opportunity to have Buhari represent the district at the upper chamber as many opportunities and dividends of democracy await the district under Tinubu presidency with Buhari as their senator.
I urge the good people of Oyo North not to be swayed by primordial sentiments to throw away this big opportunity. They should all go out enmasse to support and vote for Senator Buhari and APC in 2023 for more dividends of democracy.
