Senator Yunus Akintunde commiserates with Senator Abdul Fatah Buhari on her mother’s demise.

Senator Yunus Akintunde has sent a message of condolences to Senator Dr. Abdul Fatah Buhari and his family over the demise of his mother, the matriarch of the family, Mama Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari.

This was contained in a personal message conveyed to Senator Buhari, the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, and made available to the media through Kunle Olatunji, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Dr. Yunus Akintunde, when the news of the Mama Alahaja Sarat Abeje Buhari passage was mentioned.

“My dear friend and colleague, I share and feel the pain of the loss of your beloved mother and the matriarch of your family. Please accept my sincere heartfelt condolences on this incidence; however, Allah has made her passage very unique, and it is quite a rare privilege to have passed on quietly during the holy month of Ramadan, especially on the last day of the fasting period at a very ripe old age of 103.

“On behalf of my family, our colleagues at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, my associates, and the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District, I pray that Almighty Allah will grant you and your entire family members the fortitude to bear the pains of her glorious passage.”

“Mama was a great woman whom God has used to bless humanity, seeding your kind of person and your siblings; her enterprise and generosity are enduring legacies as a leading light in her community. The people of Ogbomoso and environs, which are part of Oyo North Senatorial District, will miss her greatly.”

“The entire people of Oyo North Senatorial District, and especially your clan in Ogbomoso, have lost a great mother, a woman of excellence and substance whose sterling legacies will be forever memorable in our minds.”

“May Allah grant her Aljannah Fridaus and strengthen you and your family at this time,” he concluded.

The matriarch, Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari died at the ripe age of 103.
