SKIMEH Education Programme Achievements (2023-2025)

The SKIMEH initiative has made significant strides in enhancing education through technology and support in Oyo Federal Constituency over the past two years. Here’s a summary of key developments and contributions made from 2023 to 2025:
2023 Highlights
February 20: Launched capacity training on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and distributed 150 laptops to beneficiaries, marking a commitment to improving digital literacy.


May 2023: The ICT Centre at SPED International Secondary School was officially commissioned, providing a dedicated space for students to enhance their ICT skills.

October 7: A training session was held for 50 constituents, who received laptops upon completion, furthering the goal of empowering individuals through technology.
October 16: Three new ICT centres were commissioned at:
•School of Science, Saabo, Oyo
•Ilora Community Commercial High School, Ilora
•St Francis Catholic College, Oyo
°October 28: In a tribute to the late Oba Adeyemi III, 20 National Examination Council (NECO) forms were awarded to outstanding students during the NAOS Mathematics Competition. Approximately 700 participants received notebooks and textbooks to support their academic pursuits.
2024 Developments
°October 18: A block of six classrooms was commissioned at Community High School, Awumoro, enhancing the learning environment for students.
October 26: The announcement of a Federal University scholarship accompanied the presentation of cash prizes to top performers in the Oba Adeyemi Mathematics Competition. Miss Aleem Aishat of Fiditi Grammar School secured the first position.
°Debate Competition: Cash prizes were awarded to the top three students: Miss Salawu Faoziyat, Miss Oluwaleye Esther, and Miss Olayiwola Faizol, recognising their achievements in a competitive debate organised in honour of the late Oba Adeyemi III.
°Post-Competition Support: An additional distribution of notebooks and textbooks was made to about 1,000 participants of the Oba Adeyemi Mathematics Competition, further supporting their educational needs.
