The staff, parents and students of Adifase Grammar School and residents of Adifase community have lauded the Founder and Chairman of Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation (RAAF), Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi, who is the immediate past Senator of Oyo South Senatorial District, for donating five classrooms, two VIP toilets and boreholes at Adifase Grammar School, Apata, Ibadan.

All of these were described as a big surprise to the school whose buildings are all dilapidated and residents of the community who have been battling with water scarcity for a long time. The newly constructed block of classrooms which can accommodate 250 wards annually was also furnished with tables and chairs, as well as fans and boards.

Residents of the community expressed their appreciation to Senator Akanbi for his thoughtfulness. According to Mr Kayode Bankole, representing the community, he said “Water is a major problem in this community and this borehole will comfortably serve numerous households around here”.

He further added that 2023 is the moment to indeed wake up to the fact that, beyond political parties, individuals with a proven track record of valid standards of humanity should be voted into power and Senator Akanbi is one of a handful of people who is always people-minded as evident in the various humane strides of RAAF for over 15 years now.

It was also stated that in such times as we are in, it is very important to remember a person such as Senator Akanbi in prayer always as he is clearly a leader after God’s heart and would do a whole lot more in any leadership office he holds.

Having schools in good conditions is undeniably one of the decisive elements for students to achieve the expected academic excellence. The conditions of the schools directly influence the performance of the students. With this knowledge, RAAF will keep up with contributing its quota in every way possible towards the education sector.
