Distinguished Senator Buhari Abdulfatai representing Oyo North Senatorial District has condoled with Soun Royal family and entire people of Ogbomoso over the death of Oba (Dr.) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III CON, CFR whose sad event happened in the early hours of today.
The federal lawmaker, who expressed his heart-broken condolence in a release issued this morning, said,”The news of death of a respectable royal father in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole was a colossal loss not only to the people of Ogbomoso but Nigerians as a nation.
According to him since the enthronement of Oba (Dr) Oyewumi as the 20th Soun of Ogbomosoland in 1973, the city has become a land habitable to not only indigenes of Ogbomoso but people from different parts of the country and beyond.
“We’re surely going to miss our enviable royal father for his unique commitment and dedication towards having peace and unity in diversity throughout his reigns”,Senator Buhari said.
Senator Buhari maintained that,”No doubt, Oba (Dr) Oyemuwi facilitated unforgettably to the rapid growth and development of the ancient Ogbomoso city.
He stressed further,”In fact, it is not an overstatement that our father was synonymous to the Ogbomosoland as a reliable, honest and trustworthy leader who committed his soul to serving the entire people of the city.
Buhari prayed for the soul of the late monarch.”May baba rest in peace and may God grant his immediate family, royal families and entire people of Oyo State, fortitude to bear the great loss.
