A leading socio- political group rooting for the presidential agenda of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu(Jagaban) has inaugurated southwestern executives of the association yesterday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
In his welcome address at the event which took place at Bayo Adelabu Foundation, Foodco Area, Jericho in Ibadan, the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of Tinubu Vanguard and Chairman of the Inauguration Committee, Dr Amusa R. Hamzat revealed that,” Tinubu Vanguard is a collection of like-minds who believe in the potentiality, confidence, ability, agility and technical-know-how of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu to mount and control the leadership platform of this great nation called Nigeria come 2023. Tinubu Vanguard is an organised and registered association that has constitution and spreads across the country.
He further maintained that, “Bola Tinubu is an achiever, a politician who can be described as a political system. He had mentored, nurtured and brought up some Nigerians into political lime-lights, who occupy key administrative positions in Nigerian Government of today.
“The roles he played in the formation of APC cannot be over emphasised. He has settled conflicts and resolved other matters that can disintegrate the party within and outside Nigeria.
“He has invested in Nigeria and still investing. Ladies and Gentlemen, can an investor in an environment cause or collude to foment crises that can lead to destruction of lives and properties of people in the environment?, he asked rhetorically.
“I am appealing to us all in this part of Nigeria to eschew ‘Politics of Bitterness’, if we do not put behind us, the yesterday’s events, we can not move forward or progress. As progressives, we must at all times think of how to proffer solution rather than making it complex to solve”, Dr Hamzat reiterated.
In his keynote speech, the Director General of Tinubu Vanguard, Dr Benjamin Ebikeseye Johnny, said that, ” Our Principal, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the best candidate to takeover the mantle of leadership from President Muhammad Buhari, as President come 2023.
“Tinubu is a good product that doesn’t need any advertisement and he has contributed greatly to the growth and development of the nation.
“He is consummate democrat and the leader of All Progressives Congress(APC) who fought among others for the enthronement of the democratic rule that Nigeria is enjoying today.
Asiwaju has done a lot for Nigeria and Nigerians irrespective of tribes and religion. He has built bridges across the length and breath of the country “, Dr Benjamin said.
The Guest Speaker, Chief Tunde Odunlade while delivering the lecture titled, ” Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023: To be or not to be”, extolled the virtues of the National Leader of All Progressives Congress(Congress), Asiwaju Tinubu and hr emphasized why Tinubu is qualified to preside over the affairs of Nigeria come 2024.
Others in attendance were: Hon. Adeyemi Olalekan, Hon. Tunde Buraimon, Mrs Mary Adepemi, Comrade Segun Daila, Hon. Ogunjobi Nureini, Hon. Bose Adedeji, Hon. Oluwole R Bukola among several others.
