Teachers’ Day 2024: 2027 House of Reps Hopeful, Asiwaju Olumide Alli Salutes Educators
Asiwaju Olumide Yaqub Alli (OYA), a compassionate and people-focused aspirant for the House of Representatives from Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency come 2027, has congratulated teachers in the state on the commemoration of Teachers’ Day 2024.
In his message to teachers released by his media office, the influential chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Alli, described teachers as builders of the people’s future.
“On behalf of myself, family, and supporters across the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, I celebrate all educators across the federal constituency on the commemoration of Teachers’ Day. It is a day to appreciate and celebrate the contributions of teachers to nation-building. Congratulations to all our valued pedagogues.
“As we all know, teachers build the future by shaping the minds of our children, who are the leaders of tomorrow. So, I know their importance, and I dearly congratulate them on this occasion.
The Oyo APC chieftain, Alli, urged that the voices, recommendations, and suggestions of teachers should be valued and empirically considered.
“In line with the theme of this year’s celebration,’valuing teachers’ voices: towards a new social contract for education’, I want to urge that the voices, recommendations, and suggestions of teachers be valued and empirically considered because it paves way for a better life, living conditions, and reward system for teachers, which in turn would create a better working and learning environment for teachers and children.
