TERRORISM: Before We Are All Consumed !! By Olufemi Akindele Lawson.
Firstly, let me clearly state it here, that President Buhari has the capacity, to dislodge these rag tagged army of TERRORISTS, currently ravaging Nigeria, and are about to unseat the democratically elected government in our country.
I’ve always known General Buhari, through History, just like every previous heads of Nigerian Government. But, in 2011, I had a closer knowledge of General Buhari through my Veteran and Senior Comrade, Comrade Buska Oladosu Razaq , who I traveled with on some campaign tour, with my late leader and Benefactor, Comrade Yinka Odumakin. During the said period, we traveled, mobilised, and canvased support for the election of the then CPC candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, without any form of financial motivation, other than the stipends often made available to us, by my late Leader, Yinka Odumakin.
That was the Buhari I knew, until his marriage with the gang of forged progressives, who spearheaded his election as the president of Nigeria in 2015, a process that we refused to support purely on obvious realities.
That said, recent events have now forced me, to restate my believe, in the position of General Theophilus Danjuma, that they COLLUDE.
How do you explain a situation, where terrorists with known hideouts, keep kidnapping, Killing innocent Nigerians, including Attack on Presidential motorcade, and Presidential Elite Guards after audaciously threatening to kidnap the President and Commander-In-Chief himself?
What is wrong with this government? Is it not this same government that went as far as the Republic of Kenya, to abduct IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, got an Aircraft already on the tarmac in Benin Republic to ferry Chief Sunday Igboho back for Nigeria forcefully?
If you’re still doubting the capacity of the Nigerian State, to end this madness, you are definitely wrong.
What is surely missing, is the willingness of President Buhari and the cabal holding him and his government hostage, to put an end to this madness. This is surely happening for some obvious reasons.
I think the time has come, for us, to stop blaming the security agencies for failing to stop these rampaging rag tagged army, because they have also become victims and are now as vulnerable as everyone of us in Nigeria.
Who is to be blamed? THE BUHARI’S LEADERSHIP OF NIGERIA.
How has the Buhari’s government been able to deploy those fighter jets and Military hardware purchased by the Nigerian people, in countering these rampaging rag tagged terrorists moving across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory on foot and motorcycles? Is there any sanity in this at all?
How do we explain the silliness of Minister Isa Pantami, in sending us to spend our days in stampede in the name of SIM registrations, just because the regime wanted to track callers ID and prevent terrorists from using the mobile telecom networks? Are these gangsters not still negotiating ransom from the relatives of their kidnapped victims, with the aid of the GSM?
Fundamentally, I think the time is now, for us all, as social commentators, Activists, Journalists, TV stations, Newspapers, Religious organizations, to suspend these 2023 political talks and galvanize efforts at saving our country.
There will only be the 2023 General election, if we have a country. Never in our history, has there been this manner of audacious hostage on our Federal Capital, like it is currently happening.
We must all save this country, or we all become hostages, in our Motherland.
This Regime is a failure and it must immediately admit same.
