Thank You, Mr President – Ogunesan Hails Tinubu over Federal Varsity Establishment, Congratulates Oke-Ogun People, Oyo State Citizens

A chieftainess of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Head of Service in Oyo State, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving assent to a bill seeking the establishment of a federal university in the Oke-Ogun region of the state.

The astute politician and 2027 Oyo North Senatorial Hopeful, Ogunesan wrote:”A MESSAGE OF PROFOUND GRATITUDE TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR, AND HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PEOPLE OF OKE-OGUN.

The approval of the University of Agriculture and Technology sites at Okeho marks a momentous occasion for the Oke-Ogun zone of Oyo State. This development represents a significant leap forward in the pursuit of educational excellence and socio-economic advancement for the community.

For years, the people of Oke-Ogun have harboured the dream of having a higher institution that would not only provide quality education but also serve as a catalyst for regional development. This dream has now become a reality. Thanks to the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose dedication to fostering agricultural innovation and technological progress through this institution reflects his resolve to uplift communities and drive national developments.

The establishment of a specialised university in Oke-Ogun, renowned for its agricultural heritage, is significant due to its potential to enhance local skills, knowledge, productivity, innovation, and sustainable practices, contributing to the overall growth and development of Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
