The lack of vibrant opposition in Oyo State is alarming, allowing Governor Seyi Makinde to make unsubstantiated claims without challenge. At the Ibadan Airport upgrade flag-off, he incited people against the APC-led federal government, citing hardship and food scarcity. Where’s the APC’s rejoinder?
Makinde’s frivolous foreign trips must end; instead, he should enroll in Governor Bago’s “School of Good Governance.” I’m very proud of that governor of Niger state? What agricultural produce has Oyo State generated to combat hunger? Where is the results of all the foreign trips? Where is the results of the billions of naira on agriculture?
APC’s financial struggles shouldn’t hinder media publicity. National assembly members and governorship aspirants must pool resources. The publicity secretary shouldn’t beg for funds. Hon. Sadare is qualified and competent, but he has to be supported.
My friend and comrade Hon. Sola Abegunde has been doing well from his personal pockets.
Engr. Hakeem Alao should be further encouraged to continue doing his best in terms of publicity for the party.
Let’s initiate fundraising for the media arm. Those seeking to contest in 2027 must demonstrate financial commitment to the party now. We’ll publish a bulletin listing contributors.
Aspirants who don’t support the party financially will struggle to gain sincere followers. God will assign to you followers who will extort you because they know that you are only spending for the party at the time of primaries.
Let’s revamp our online media team in honor of late Chairman Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu as Omodewu Media Squad. Let us see how many people will contribute.
You will have to show us your score Card and financial commitments to the party if you want to contest. This is how it should be. APC should not just be used as a platform to realize ambition and later dumped. Spend for the party, no efforts or money spent in projecting the image of the party is ever lost. If you couldn’t realize your specific ambition, you will be compensated in another way.
The time for action is now.
