This Is An Affirmation of APC’s Readiness to Reclaim Oyo State – Senator Brimo Hails Stakeholders, Party Faithful on Peaceful Congresses
The retired but not tired General, Senator Brimo Yusuf, who represented the Oyo North Senatorial District in the 4th Assembly (1999-2003), has extolled all the stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the peaceful conduct of the recently concluded ward and local government congresses in Oyo State, especially Ogbomoso North Local Government and other zones in Ogbomoso.
In the release made available to the press in the early hours of today from his residence in Ogbomoso, the former lawmaker and chieftain of the party appreciated all the stakeholders for the inclusiveness, openness, equity, fairness and justice in ensuring the process was not only peaceful but also successful and acceptable.
“I express my profound gratitude to all party leaders and stakeholders across the state, most especially my local government, Ogbomoso North and Ogbomoso Zone as a whole, for the hitch-free exercise. The peaceful resolution, being part of the principles of the Progressives Family, affirms the readiness of the party to work in unity to triple our votes for the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to win Oyo State back to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
“I sincerely appreciate the assiduous efforts of Chief Akin Oke, Engr Dayo Lawal, Senator Buhari AbdulFatai, Chief Sunday Dare, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala and others for taking their time out of their very busy schedules to attend the stakeholders meeting to ensure the exercise was successful.
Brimo urged all the concerned to ensure that the remaining exercises recorded resounding success.
“I thereby urge us to ensure that we build on the earlier success recorded so that we can have resounding success in the forthcoming zonal and state congresses.
We must also work in unity and sincere love to ensure that we record the highest votes in the South West for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also win Oyo State in the 2027 general elections.”
Recalled that the Ward and Local Government Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was held on the 18th and 21st of February, 2026, in about 30 states of the federation, including Oyo State, the political headquarters of the South West.
The zonal, state and national conventions of the party are expected to be held in the coming month, as released by the national body of the party.
