The Niger Delta Youth Leaders Association (NDYLA) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on their affirmation as the duly elected President and Vice President of Nigeria by the Supreme Court.

The Niger Delta Youth Leaders’ President, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, described the victory as a triumph of democracy and justice for the entire nation. He said that the Supreme Court’s ruling had restored the faith of the common man in the judiciary.

Emonefe also lauded the judiciary for their steadfastness and unwavering stand to do justice in the land, despite the unnecessary pressure from all works of life trying to hoodwink and arm-twist the judiciary.

He said that the Supreme Court’s ruling had affirmed the Tinubu/Shettima mandate and put to rest all doubts about the legitimacy of their victory in the last general election.

Emonefe, however, called on the presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, to join hands with President Tinubu to build Nigeria and take it forward from the rubble it finds itself in.

He said that this was the patriotic thing to do, noting that President Tinubu is an accommodating father, leader, and comrade who believes in working with others to achieve his goals.

Emonefe said that no one person can do it all alone and that President Tinubu would need the support and cooperation of all Nigerians, including Atiku and Obi, to succeed in his mission to build a better Nigeria.

He urged Atiku and Obi to put aside their differences and work together with President Tinubu to deliver on his campaign promises to the Nigerian people.

The NDYLA President also congratulated President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima on their deserved victories and wished them a successful tenure in office.

He urged them to remember the plight of the Niger Delta people and to give priority to their development needs.
