National Coordinator of Think Nigeria Solidarity Movement(TNSM), Comrade Alli Egbesola has welcomed and congratulated former Governor of the State of Osun and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola over His Investiture As NUJ SW Grand patron which is planned to hold today, Friday in Ibadan.
The former Vice President of National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Egbesola stated this in a congratulatory message issued yesterday and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan.
“We congratulate Your Excellency, Our Master, Mentor and Patriarch, Honorable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola on Your investiture as the grand patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) in South Western Nigeria and conferment of ‘Award of Excellence’ on Your amiable personality”, Egbesola said.
He further stated, “We also use this medium to welcome you and all your well wishers who are traveling down, near and far, to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State and political headquarters of South Western Nigeria as the event is set to hold today, Friday, 26th March, 2021.
Also Egbesola lauded NUJ Southwest; “We as well congratulate Nigerian Union of Journalists, Southwest Zone for taking good step by putting the round peg in a round hole. It is a sign of cerebrating of libertarian personality of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, a renown Human Rights activist and revolutionary leader of all times. As part of his contributions to ‘free speech struggles’, Ogbeni Aregbesola, then as a sitting Governor in the state of Osun, set-up a Bureau of communications and Strategy which created job opportunities for journalists and platform for journalism involvement in Osun governance. He established local newspaper (Osun defender), he established Uniq FM and freedom TV.
