TRIBUTE: Adelabu Mourns Late Alaafin, Describes Oba Adeyemi’s Transition As Great Loss.

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Adebayo Adelabu has described the death of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III, as a great loss to the entire country.

Chief Adelabu in his condolence message made available to the Journalists by one of his media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro said Oba Adeyemi will be greatly missed.

“The demise of Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III came to me as a rude shock. The monarch was a father figure to me and the entire Adelabu Dynasty. He played significant roles before, during and after my 2019 Governorship campaign”.

“He was a custodian of our tradition and culture. He was an encyclopedia of Yoruba history. His pieces of advice were invaluable. His demise has created a very big vacuum that will be very difficult to fill”, Adelabu said.

Bayo Adelabu also announced that political activities have been suspended at his Political Headquarters to honour Oba Adeyemi, whom he said his legacy will forever be remembered.

The seasoned financial Expert, Adelabu sympathise with the good people of the Ancient City of Oyo, the royal family and the people of Oyo State over the demise of the highly revered monarch. He prayed to God to give the bereaved and entire late monarch’s subjects fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
