” Despite the troubles, agitations, strike actions in the six tertiary institutions in Oyo state between the year 2016 to April 2019, late Ajimobi never sacked, victimised or intimidated any of the union leaders.
As a worker in state institution and unionist who happens to be among the front liners, we expressed our feelings beyond reasonable doubt via different media such as print, broadcast and social media platform.
Former governor never asked any of his men to reply us in a bad way nor ask the SSG or commissioner for education to react badly to us at any of our meetings neither listened to agents of doom in all these institutions who wanted the governor to deal with the union leaders in a bad way, rather, they always pleaded to us.
As a human being and reasonable personalty, I give that to him because we have the records of those who sacked union leaders in Oyo state owned tertiary institutions in the past.
On behalf of my Union (NASU) The Polytechnic, Ibadan I want to commiserate with the friends and families of Late Abiola Ajimobi on his sudden death and pray to God to forgive his shortcomings and give families and friends fortitude to bear the loss.
