Tribute: Adieu to Otunba Alao-Akala !! By Dr Adebayo Adams
“Our Alao Akala is a jolly good fellow.
We lost an astute politician, who is a father, gentleman, leader and a man who meant many things to many people. Truly Alao-Akala is ‘Oyato’ Governor.
Though, in a mournful mood but with heart full of gratitude, we take solace in the will of Almighty God for taking our leader home and the angels are guiding Omo Iya Alaro to his righteous eternal abode.
In ‘solo’ mode and with grief, I extend my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family, the good friends of Otunba, his political associates, Ogbomosho indigenes, home and in diasporas, and by extension to our dear party, All Progressives Congress(APC) over the sudden demise of our own Alao.
It’s hard to believe he left when his leadership acumen is needed most but who are we to query God`s doing. Its crystal clear death is inevitable and all souls must taste death.
Otunba will be forever remembered for his kind gesture toward sons and daughters of Ogbomosholand. He worked extensively with love for betterment and development of his people, and that of our dear state at large.
We lost a great man, and it’s my prayer that may God Almighty continue to rest his soul, make him comfortable in his present state, forgive his shortcoming, and be with the family he left behind and also may God Almighty put an end to sudden death in our party.
Rest on ‘Alao Omo Iya Alaro, Oyato !!!’.
