TRIBUTE: Alaafin Was An Encyclopedia Of Yoruba History – Engr Open Salawu Mourns, Hails Late Oba Adeyemi.
Engineering Luminary and Influential Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC),in Oyo-State, Muftau Open Salawu has sympathized with the people of Oyo town, Oyo state and Nigeria, in general over the transition of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III.
Member, House of Representatives(MHR) Hopeful, Open Salawu maintained that the passage of the first class monarch will no doubt create a very big vacuum that would be very difficult to fill.
The Babalaje of Ogbomosoland, Engr Open Salawu described the reign of Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi as peaceful and prosperous one that brought much needed development to Oyo town and the state, in particular.
In his condolence message, Engr. Open Salawu lauded late Oba Adeyemi and stated that,”Alaafin was an encyclopedia of Yoruba history.
He continued,”I pay tribute to a life dedicated to the service of his country. My deepest sympathy to our Royal family and the entire people of Oyo State. The nation will profoundly miss Alaafin unwavering service and dignified presence.
“May God provide strength to the family during this difficult time and grant him eternal peace.” He prayed.
“Alaafin was an encyclopedia of Yoruba culture and history. He lived fullest and enjoyed till the bell rang. He was a lover of beautiful things.” Open Salawu hailed.
