The remains of the Soun of Ogbomosholand, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi, Ajagungbade III, has been committed to mother earth.
He was buried according to Islamic rites at about 4:30pm, yesterday, inside a vault in the palace.
One of the illustrious sons of Ogbomoso land and Member, House of Representatives from Surulere/ Ogo Oluwa Federal Constituency, Honourable Segun Dokun Odebunmi popularly known as Bunvic, among eminent personalities who graced the burial rite, paid tribute to the late monarch and extolled His Imperial Majesty’s virtues.
The Chairman, House Committee on Information National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Hon. Bunvic stated that,”Our Baba, Oba Jimoh Adeyemi Oyewumi, Soun of Ogbomoso, invested heavily for his people’s progress.
“As mortal, death is a necessary end for us all and I pray that Almighty God grant him Aljanah Fridaus and grant his immediate and extended family, Ogbomoso and the entire Yoruba race fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Bunvic said.
