The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Teslim Folarin has expressed shock and grief over the demise of Honorable Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, the House of Representatives Candidate of Accord Party for Atisbo, Saki West and Saki East Federal Constituency in the next year’s general elections who breathed his last on Sunday.
Senator Folarin, in a condolence message to the family of Honorable Ogunmola, the entire people of Oke Ogun, leadership and members of Accord party in the state, said that he received the sad news of the death of Ogunmola with rude shock and sadness.
Describing him as an illustrious son of Ago-Are, a notable philanthropist and grassroots politician, Folarin stated that Ogunmola was a highly committed politician who invested notably into the development of our democratic process and has sacrificed a lot in the pursuit of good governance and in improving the lots of the people of his immediate communities and Oke Ogun Area in general.
“I personally acknowledge his deep commitment to ideological politics and servant-leadership principles. He was a promoter of politics without bitterness, a reformer and a great lover of his people whose impact in his local government, federal constituency and Oyo State at large, cannot be discounted.
“His demise is a very sad loss to the people and politics of Oke-Ogun where his bright shining light is most visible and that of Oyo State at large”.
“Hon Ogunmola will be sorely missed for his philanthropy, his value-adding contributions to local and state politics, as well as, his mentorship of the younger generation.
“I pray that his family, the Accord party of Oyo State, the good people of Ago-Are, Oke Ogun and the political class of Oyo State will receive from God the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Hon Ogunmola was a former Chairman, Atisbo Local Government and the 2023 Accord party candidate for Atisbo/Saki East/ Saki West Federal Constituency. May the Almighty repose his soul.
