TRIBUTE: Kabiesi’s Death Is A Monumental Loss – Agbaje Mourns Aseyin.
A frontline Governorship Aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), during the last party’s primaries, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, has condoled with Oyo State Council of Obas, Iseyin Traditional Council, sons and daughters of Iseyin and the people of Oyo State over the passage of the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdulganiyu Adekunle Salawudeen, Ologunebi Ajinase I.
Agbaje, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday, described the death of the first-class traditional ruler as a monumental loss to the traditional institution and the state in general.
This newspaper, AfricanoTrumpeters recalled that the Aseyin joined his ancestors on Sunday, July 24, 2022, after a protracted illness.
The astute politician, who said that the death of the royal father was shocking and disheartening, acknowledged his passion for the growth and development of his subjects, Iseyin town and the state at large.
“It is on record that the revered traditional ruler did everything at his disposal to transform the town and uplift his people. He was a patriot and very urbane, with an aristocratic aura woven around him”, Agbaje hailed.
“I received the news of the death of Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba (Dr.) Abdulganiyu Adekunle Salawudeen, Ologunebi Ajinase I, with shock and disbelief.
“Since ascending the throne of his forefathers in 2017, Oba Salawudeen has not wavered in his commitment to the growth and development of his subjects, Iseyin town and indeed, Oyo State.
“The late traditional ruler lived a life of service, not just to his subjects but also, to humanity in general. He will be remembered for leaving an indelible mark on the sands of time.
“Though his sudden exit is very painful, we are, however, consoled with the fact that Oba Salawudeen, a trained veterinary doctor, gave his all to his people and lived a fulfilled life.
“On behalf of my family, I commiserate with the Governor of Oyo State, Oyo State Council of Obas, Iseyin Traditional Council, sons and daughters of Iseyin and the entire people of Oyo State on the passage of Oba Abdulganiyu Adekunle Salawudeen, Ologunebi Ajinase I.
“I pray the Almighty Allah to grant him aljannah firdaus, and grant his family and the people of Iseyin, fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he submitted.
