TRIBUTE: Khalil Mustapha Repete Mourns Oba Adeyemi, Describes Late Monarch’s Transition As Heavy Blow to Yoruba Nation.
Member, House of Representatives Hopeful, Honourable Khalil Mustapha popularly known as Repete has sympathized with the people of Oyo town and the state in general over the transition of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III.
Hon. Khalil Mustapha Repete said the passage of the first class monarch will no doubt created a very big vacuum that would difficult to fill. Repete described late Alaafin’s transition as heavy blow to Yoruba Nation.
He described the reigns of Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi as peaceful one that brought much needed development to Oyo town and the state in particular.
“Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi the third during his 52 years of reigns has facilitated notable higher Institutions to the ancient town which Includes Federal School of Survey Oyo, Ajayi Crowther University, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Federal College of Education just to mention few.
“Aside this, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi was an encyclopedia of history and promoter of rich Yoruba cultural heritage throughout his life time.”Repete stated.
Hon. Khalil Mustapha Repete prayed for the family of the monarch and people of Oyo state that may God Almighty grant them fortitude to bear the loss.
