A leading governorship Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Senator representing Oyo North, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai has joined prominent individuals in Ibadanland to mourn late Olubadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, who joined his ancestors early hours of today, Sunday.
Senator Buhari condoled with immediate family of Oba Adetunji, the chiefs and generality of people of Ibadanland over the demise of the frontline Oba in Yorubaland.
Describing late Oba Adetunji as a strategist who successfully used wisdom and outstanding intelligence to sustain the cultural and traditional institution of Olubadan throne during his reign. Senator Buhari pointed out that “he was a pragmatic royal father not only to people of Ibadanland but the entire Oyo State.
Buhari sympathized with Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs while praying that other traditional rulers shall live long on the throne of their ancestors.
Senator Buhari charged people in every towns and cities in the State to pray fervently for long and healthy lives for their royal fathers while he lamented that their incessant deaths called for sober reflections.
The Federal Legislator, Buhari prayed onto God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest, forgive his shortcomings
and reward his good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaous.
“May Allah give Kabiesi’s family, sons and daughters of Ibadanland and generality of people of Oyo State fortitude to bear the great loss”, Buhari prayed.
