Tribute: Oba Adetunji! Adieu Our Father, Mentor – Adekanmbi Mourns Late Olubadan, Extols His Virtues

Oyo South Senatorial District Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Hon. ‘Bimbo Adekanmbi has mourned the demise of late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, who joined his ancestors early today, in Ibadan.

“Kabiesi, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji! Our Royal Father and Mentor. Indeed, you led an exemplary life and we immensely gained a lot from your pool of wisdom, fountain of knowledge and overwhelming experiences. Our esteemed Monarch, Oba Adetunji! Thank you, sir, for your mentorship, guidance and prayers, and I wish you eternal rest in the company of legendary forebears”, former Deputy Chief of Staff(DCoS), Adekanmbi paid tribute.

“Kabiesi Ajeogunguniso! You’d hugely contributed to the socioeconomic development, not only of Yoruba land but also that of entire Nigeria. As a passionate talent hunter and music producer, you’d discovered and supported many musical dons like King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, KWAM-1. Factually, you were a blessing to humanity and we, as your mentees and subjects, will sorely miss you”, The internationally trained forensic Accountant, Adekanmbi stated.

“Your Imperial Majesty, sir! I adore your acumen and I salute your industry, not only in business world but in all fields of endeavors you’d excellently applied your midas touch, by advancing the cause of Ibadanland and reigning wonderfully, on the throne of your forebears. We will greatly miss you and Your Majesty’s wise counsel. Adieu, sir.

The former Finance Commissioner in the state, ‘Bimbo Adekanmbi furthered his condolence speech and stated that,“I, also, sympathise with the family of our highly revered monarch, my fellow sons and daughters of Ibadan land and, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, and in the state, over this great loss.

“May God grant the bereaved royal family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and great baba eternal rest”, he prayed.
