Head of Media and Communications of the National Economic Sustainabilty Program, ESP, in the Office of The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Honourable Muyiwa Badmus has commiserated with all Ibadan descendants, at home and in diasporas, over the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, who joined his ancestors early yesterday, Sunday at University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.”Oba Adetunji! Adieu Our Integrous Monarch With Distinct Royal Panache”, he paid tribute.

In his condolence message, the Oyo State Coordinator, Osinbajo Grassroot Team and PYO Support Group, Hon. Badmus stated that, “I received with shock, the passage of our Charismatic and Integrous Monarch, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, who joined his ancestors, today, Sunday, December 2 and I commiserate with all Ibadan descendants, at home and in diasporas, over the loss. Meanwhile, I celebrate the well led life of our passionate royal father while he was on the throne of his forebears. Adieu Kabiesi.

The former Special Adviser on Political Matters, in Ibadan North Local Government, Muyiwa furthered,“Our late monarch was an icon of peace, progress, unity and development when he was on the throne of his fore fathers and the ancient city, Ibadanland greatly witnessed unprecedented progress and advancement across all fronts”, he lauded.

“I, also, extend my condolences to the bereaved royal family and the entire sons and daughters of Ibadanland, throughout the world, and Oyo state, in general and Yoruba land at large. ‘Aku Ara Fe Ara Ku’ “, The former Chairman, Local Government Special Advisers’ Forum, during the administration of late Governor Ajimobi, in the State, Muyiwa grieved.

“May Almighty Allah console all of us, overlook his shortcomings, repose his soul in the best Barzaku and admit him into Aljanah Firdaus as his eternal abode”, he prayed.
