Tribute: Oba Adetunji Led A Good Life, His Legacies Live On – Arisekola-Alao Mourns Late Olubadan.
A son of the late Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Delta and Edo States, and the Aare of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola-Alao, Honourable Umar-Farouk Arisekola-Alao has mourned the demise of late Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, who joined his ancestors early today, in Ibadan.
In his tribute and condolence message, the former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, under Sen. Ajimobi’s administration, Hon. Arisekola stated that,”It is with a heavy heart that I received the news of the passage of our father and king, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, the Olubadan of Ibadanland!
“The late Olubadan was a good father whose wealth of wisdom was used in the development and progress of Ibadanland.
“You led a good life and your legacies of upholding the rich cultural heritage and tradition of Ibadan people will forever be remembered by all. May Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus”, Arisekola prayed.
