Tribute: Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Was A Great, Noble Monarch – Fed Lawmaker, Prince Akinremi Jagaban Mourns Late Olubadan.

Following the transition of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogunguniso-I, on Sunday 2nd January, Member, House of Representatives, from Ibadan North Federal Constituency and a full blooded Ibadan descendant, Honorable (Prince) Olaide Akinremi “Jagaban” has commiserated with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland.

Prince Akinremi stated that,”Myself being a true son of Ibadanland, I wholeheartedly mourn the demise of Oba Saliu Adetunji, who was a father to all. Kabiesi was one whose doors were wide open to every Ibadan son and daughter, and one who prioritized the progress of Ibadanland while his reign lasted.

“We have lost a great and noble king. Baba was a caring father and an elder statesman whoß impact and contributions in all spheres were well felt. Indeed, I thank God for granting him long life of living till 93years of age. He lived and ruled well, and he will always be remembered” Honorable Prince Akinremi stated.

Prince Akinremi prayed for the repose of Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji’s soul. He prayef that God Almighty continues to abide with Ibadanland as we look forward to the future.
