A front line Member, House of Representatives(MHR) Hopeful, from Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), come 2023, Doctor David Olusegun Okanlawon has graced the final funeral service of late Oyo-State Helmsman, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, yesterday, at Beulah Baptist Conference Ground, Behind Baptist High School, in Ogbomoso, Oyo-State.
In his tribute titled,”Akala’s Burial; A Goodwill Message to Philanthropist”, the Engineering Luminary, Okanlawon stated that,” The final burial service of the week long burial event for Late Governor Alao Akala was held on Friday, Feb.18, at Beulah Baptist Conference Ground. The program established the facts that the late Governor would be missed for his generosity, compassion and governance acumen.
“He was laid to rest amidst a gathering of political gladiators, former and present governors across different parties, well wishers, family and those who are still reaping from his magnanimity.
“Late Otunba Alao Akala led a fulfilled life, touching and impacting people. His generous pieces of advice and financial supports have been heard, far and near.
“During his tenure, he improved the internally generated revenue of Oyo State geometrically and instituted a structure for sustainable developments in Oyo State.
“Seeing the host of guests paying their last respect at the burial service was inspiring and I took a leaf out of it. I concluded that humanity must live on.
“Otunba Alao Akala lived a fulfilled life and may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace”, Engr Okanlawon extolled.
