The Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, Prince Aremu John Oyetunji has paid condolence visit to the royal family of the late Alaafin of Oyo empire, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III over the transition of the late monarch.
Prince Oyetunji described Oba Adeyemi as an inimitable king whose achievements can not be matched in due time.”Indeed, the custodian of our culture and tradition has gone. Yes, the drum has stopped but the memory of the sweet melody lingers.
Oyetunji stated that,”The death of Kabiesi, Oba Adeyemi, was a very torching and painful experience to numerous people, especially, we, youth that were learning a lot from baba.
According to him, the 52years reigns of the prominent Yoruba Oba, Kabiesi Adeyemi did not only witness development of Oyo Kingdom but that of the entire Yorubaland and Nigeria, at large
“Oba Adeyemi was an extraordinary monarch whom God bestowed on, His wisdom and guidance, for unique traditional institutions in every nook and cranny of the world, especially where Yorubas are found,” he hinted.
“My Egbon, Prince Akeem Adeyemi, on behalf of myself and entire progressive youth in Oyo-State, I commiserate with you and the entire royal family over the transition of our legendary monarch. I pray that Almighty God will grant you and entire bereaved family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May Kabiesi’s demise never be a setback to Oyo town,Oyo state and Nigeria in general”, Oyetunji prayed.
