TRIBUTE: Oyo Guber Hopeful, Dr Azeez Adeduntan Mourns Late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Adeyemi.
A leading Gubernatorial Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), come 2023, Doctor Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has mourned the demise of the first class monarch in Yorubaland, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111, the Alaafin of Oyo,
The international cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr Adeduntan in a statement personally signed by him stated that Yoruba nation will greatly miss the contributions of Oba Adeyemi as a custodian of Yoruba culture, traditions, virtues and values.
“It is with great sense of loss that I write this tribute about Kabiesi, Oba Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo. His death is a personal loss to me. He was a great father and royal icon with imperial monarch.
“Late Kabiesi was many things to many people. He was a gold among special metals. He was deep, courageous, super intelligent, and above all, people-centered”, the globally renowned medical practitioner, Adeduntan hailed.
“My heartfelt sympathy goes to the Oyo mesi and the entire sons and daughters of Oyo,the Yoruba race and the entire royal family over the transition of Kabiyesi.
“I pray Allah rest baba’s soul in Al-Janat Firdaus and grant the bereaved fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” Adeduntan prayed
