A leading Oyo State Gubernatorial Hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), come 2023, Barrister Adeniyi Akintola has commiserated with the Chief Mourner, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo-state, the state Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs, Oyo Mesi, the immediate family of Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III, the Alaafin of Oyo, and all illustrious descendants of the ancient city of Oyo over the demise of His Imperial Majesty.
The commiseration is contained in a condolence message signed by the legal Luminary, Barr Akintola and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan, by his media Aide, Mr Mobolaji Oladepo.
The condolence message goes thus,”Akintola Mourns The Exit Of A Behemoth! ‘Erin wo! Atanda Omo Olukuewu sun bi oke. Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III Orun re o’.
The condolence message continued,”The news filtered in this morning that the Alaafin of Oyo has joined his ancestors. Very quickly a denial credited to his media director followed until the clarification by the State Government and Oyo Authorities that the King of one of the Yorubas oldest dynasties is gone.
“Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN counsel to Alaafin and a gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo APC hereby commiserates with the immediate and extended family of Alaafin, the Oyo mesi, Oyo people and Yorubas, in general on the exit of this great ruler. He has since been buried according to Muslim injunctions. May his soul rest in peace. Inalilah waena ilaehi rojiun.” It added.
