Tribute : Oyo LG Vice Chairmen’s Association Mourns Ajimobi , Pays Tribute .
Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGVCON) , Oyo State chapter has paid tribute to former governor of Oyo State and Acting National Chairman of All Progressives Congress(APC) , Senator Abiola Ajimobi who died in Lagos yesterday after a brief illness .
This is contained in a tribute and condolence message signed by the association’s Vice Chairmen, Chief Ademola Olawale popularly known as Agba Demo and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan after leading Oyo ALGVCON delegates on a condolence visit to the Oluyole residence of the former governor.
“On behalf of ALGVCON, Oyo State chapter, we sympathise with the the family of our dear leader and benefactor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi who has immensely contributed his own quota to the the development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large and also positively touched many lives”, Agba Demo maintained .
“Ajimobi is a legendary figure of all times. He came, He saw and He conquered . Adieu! Our father, mentor and benefactor “, Oyo ALGVCON saluted .
“We prayed that may God Almighty repose his soul and give his family, APC and all of us he left behind the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”, Oyo LG Vice Chairmen’s Association commiserated .
Among LG’s and LCDA’s Vice Chairmen present were Ogbomoso Central LCDA, Ogbomoso North, Ibadan North West, Ibadan North East, Aare Latosa LCDA, Ibadan West LCDA, Ibarapa North, Ibarapa East, Ona-Ara and ATISBO Vice Chairmen .
