TRIBUTE: Remembering A Father and Mentor | Barr Akeem Agbaje.
Today makes it 3 years that Oyo State lost a worthy son, Sen Abiola Ajimobi. A man that worked tirelessly for the progress, growth and development of the state.
Ajimobi would always be remembered as a man of peace seeing the way he emphasized on peace and security all through his 8 years as Governor; Oyo State Security Trust Fund, Operation Burst and his other laudable security initiatives.
Sen. Abiola Ajimobi only wanted to put the state on the global map. He bequeathed to the state the first technical university which the incumbent governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has graciously renamed after him as Sen. Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University. Our darling state is on the global map!
Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, the jinx breaker was a core progressive who was committed to the ideals of progressivism in his governance and leadership style. His commitment to our great party, the All Progressives Congress(APC) was evident as he was in the service of our party in the capacity of Deputy National Chairman (South). The void he left, we are still grappling to fill.
Senator Abiola Ajimobi will always be leader and mentor, his legacies forever radiating in gold as he lives on in our hearts. May his soul continue to enjoy peaceful rest. Rest on leader.
