TRIBUTE: SFYY Mourns Late Alaafin, Describes Oba Adeyemi’s Transition As Great Loss to Yoruba Race.
The Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths(SFYY) had mourned the transition of the legendary Yoruba monarch and Custodian of Yoruba Culture, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo Kingdom, who joined his ancestors on April, 23.
In a condolence message, personally signed by the National President of SFYY, Comrade Oluwafemi Awogboro and made available to the newsmen today, in Ibadan, he described the demise of the late monarch as a great loss not only to the royal family and Oyo Kingdom, but also to the entire Yoruba race across the world.”Kabiesi was an encyclopedia of knowledge and blessing to humanity.
“We condole with Oloris, princes, princesses, Oyo Mesi, entire royal family of Oyo Kingdom, the people of Oyo Kingdom and the entire Yoruba race over the transition of Oba Adeyemi “, he mourned.
“But we are thankful because Kabiesi led a purposeful and prosperous life. He was always ready to fly the Yoruba flag higher and teach the Yoruba customs and tradition. The entire Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths will miss Kabiesi’s support, greatly. He had always support us, most importantly, blessing our occasions like he did last year December.
“On behalf of the leadership and entire members of Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths, at home and diasporas, we pray that may his spirit and soul be blessed in the eternity.” He submitted.
