The National Deputy Chairman of South-West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023, SWAGA’23, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi, accompanied by the delegates, sent by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Tinubu, to pay tribute to late Olubadan and many other prominent Nigerians have today, gathered at Mapo Hall, to pay last tribute and observe “8 Day Fidau Prayer” for His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso-I, at Mapo Hall. Late Oba Adetunji joined his ancestors on Sunday, January 2, 2021.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s delegates, Prince Rabiu Oluwa, Sen Ganiyu Solomon and Alhaji Asubiaro Mutiu Are while giving their condolence speech, extolled the late Olubadan and delivered Asiwaju’s message at the event. In his words, the leader of the delegates, Prince Oluwa stated that,”On behalf of our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I commiserate with the entire sons and daughters of Ibadan land, at home and in diasporas, over the transition to joining his ancestors of our highly respected father and late Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso-I. I pray that may Almighty God repose the soul of Oba Adetunji in Al-Janat Firdaus and grant us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
Prince Oluwa reiterated that Asiwaju is always happy to be identified with Ibadan, not because he considers himself as a friend of Ibadan land but it is because he sees himself as a core Ibadan man.
Oluwa hailed Oba Adetunji and delivered the financial message of Asiwaju Tinubu to support the Fidau program.
