TRIBUTE: TLF BoT Chair, Alh Ganiyu Akeem Mourns Late Olubadan, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun

Alhaji Ganiyu Akeem, the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Tinubu Legacy Forum (TLF) and a prominent ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Oyo State, has mourned the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun CFR (Alli Okunmade II).

In a statement released by him, the South West Chairman of the Amalgamated All Progressives Congress Support Groups (AASG), Alh. Akeem, expressed shock at the sudden transition of the legendary monarch.

Alhaji Akeem hailed his reign, which he described as peaceful and developmental for Oyo State in general and Ibadanland in particular.

“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the passing on of our Royal Father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun (Alli Okunmade II).

The renowned chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alh. Akeem, continued, “Our late revered monarch was a father to all; he was well versed in the culture and tradition of Ibadanland. He used his education, administrative acumen, political intellect, and wealth of experience during the time of his reign to advance Ibadan Land.

“Kabiyesi’s ideas were courageous and progressive. He would be thoroughly missed, but his legacies would continue to shine. I want to commiserate with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland and friends of the city on this deep and painful loss. Adieu to the legendary emperor of the city of warriors!” The notable grassroots mobilizer, Alh Akeem, submitted.
