Twenty Years After: Bola Ige’s Family Holds Communion Service At St’ Annes’ Church Ibadan Today – Arc Muyiwa Ige.

All plans have now been perfected by the family of the late Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Ajibola Ige, Cicero, to hold a memorial communion service, today, Thursday, December 23 at St Anne’s Church, Molete, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in honour of the late statesman.

The former governor of old Oyo state, Ige was assassinated exactly 20 years ago, by yet to be identified gunmen, at his Bodija house, in Ibadan.

Architect Muyiwa Ige, the scion of the late Cicero informed newsmen that the thanksgiving event will start by 1pm, today, Thursday.

In his words, former Osun State Commissioner, Muyiwa Ige said,“We are hopeful that close associates of our late dad will honor us with their presence at the church on Thursday. It will be brief.”

Ige also added that a stage play will be on at the same time at the Wole Soyinka Arts Theater inside the University of Ibadan. The theme of the play is “Ige: From Kaduna Boy to Cicero of Esa Oke”.
